This year’s theme was Game Changers and reflected the hope, dedication, and innovation that lives in our community. We honored and celebrated Game Changers who are leading the way forward through bold partnerships and collaborations, are helping secure joyful victories and are moving us closer to achieving our shared vision of a thriving community. These are some of the folks leading the way to change the rules and create a new game. A game that stacks the odds in favor of everyday people so that we can live together with love, dignity, and opportunity.

The 2024 Game-Changing honorees were Dr. Robert K. Ross, recognized as Community Ally Champion; Mayor Felipe Perez of Firebaugh, recognized as Elected Champion; The League of Women Voters, recognized as Community Partner Champion; Christian de la Rosa-Arias, recognized as Youth Champion; and Laura K. Moreno, recognized as Resident Champion.

With almost 200 guests in attendance from community-based organizations, local businesses, and elected officials, the honorees were praised for their work in the community and the Central Valley region. Along with the award ceremony, games were played, a celebration of folkloric dance was performed by the Aztec Dance Club, and Mariachi Alas de Jalisco filled the air with beautiful music.
